About the Highlands & Islands Climate festival
The Highlands and Islands Climate Festival is the result of excited discussions between the Highlands and Islands Climate Hub and Highland Adapts. The original festival took place in Highland in June 2022, Orkney in September 2022 with Shetland hosting an independent Climate Week in June 2022.
The festivals were so warmly received, it was clear that the format could and should be continued. Feedback was submitted from all participating groups and our working group was formed.
The working group is made up of 11 organisations and communities, meaning that the festival can be far more inclusive from the outset and be sure to factor in the things most important and relevant to your place.
